The brand new unofficial Tranmere podcast, A Trip To The Moon, launched on Monday night, with the first episode featuring an interview with former Walsall, Anderlecht, Roda and Tranmere winger, Edrissa Sonko.
The Gambian international spent only one season at Prenton Park but was a popular figure with fans. Signed by Ronnie Moore, he was part of the team that went within minutes of a play-off place in League One, only to be denied on the final day of the season at Scunthorpe.
“Eddie” talks about his memories of playing for Tranmere, an on-pitch ‘fight’ with Steven Jennings and his regret at not having an opportunity to say goodbye to Rovers fans. He also discussed just how good the squad was that season.
The interview will leave you in no doubt about how much Sonko loved his time at Tranmere.
