Tottenham ticket sales going well – Spurs end sold out already?

By

The Tranmere Rovers Trust has tweeted an update today confirming how sales are progressing for next month’s FA Cup Third Round tie at home to Tottenham Hostpur.

Rovers secured the bumper tie with Spurs after beating Southport last Monday night in a Second Round replay.

Tickets for the game went on sale to season ticket holders on Wednesday, with the sale widened at midday today to allow fans with tickets for the Boxing Day match with Morecambe to purchase Spurs tickets.

According to the Trust’s figures, 4,518 tickets have now been sold, a good figure given that only season ticket holders could purchase before noon today.

The match has had a positive effect on sales of tickets for the Morecambe game on Boxing Day, too. The number of tickets already sold for that game is nearing 6,000 with an attendance in excess of 7,000 now expected.

Tickets for Tottenham will go on general sale to anyone wishing to go to the game on Wednesday 27th December.

Away end already sold out?

As for away tickets, it looks like the Spurs allocation may have been sold out already. The ticketing page on the Tottenham website has now changed to suggest some fans will have been unsuccessful in their application for tickets. Previously, the page had given details of potential general sale beyond the initial application process.

Today, the website reads:

Season Ticket Holders with a current total of 330 or more ticketing points who applied by the deadline have been successful and will be issued a ticket.

The ticket dispatch process will begin shortly.

All applicants will receive an email shortly informing them as to whether they were successful or unsuccessful in obtaining a ticket for this fixture, along with their accurate ticketing points total as of the application closing date

If some have been unsuccessful, surely this means they have none left to sell?
