A Trip To The Moon podcast has this evening released its latest episode in which the guys catch-up with former Tranmere defender Ian Sharps.
Wirral born and bred; Sharps enjoyed a successful time at Tranmere making almost 200 appearances at first team level. He was a mainstay of the Rovers defence for several years but many people remember the bizarre circumstances in which he left the club – in that it was never announced by Rovers.
Sharps talks about his departure at length in the podcast while also speaking about the difficulties faced in the aftermath of the play-off defeat to Hartlepool in 2005 in which he missed a crucial spot kick in a penalty shoot-out.
It’ a great listen and is available now.
