Possibly more recognised by Tranmere fans for ending in a supporter’s bed under a Tranmere duvet after a heavy night celebrating promotion to the EFL than the actual football he played for Rovers, Larnell Cole has found himself a new club.
He did, of course, score a terrific goal which helped Tranmere to Wembley that season, in the play-off semi-final against Eastleigh, but that got top trumped by his post-promotion festivities!
The former Manchester United, Fulham and Tranmere forward has signed for Northern Premier League side FC United of Manchester.
Cole was released by Tranmere in January 2019 after making 32 appearances for the club and scoring four goals, and has seemingly been without a club since.
We wish him well at Broadhurst Park.
