Peterborough United

Tranmere came up against Peterborough United in the first round of the FA Cup, revoking memories of a few thrashing down that way over the years.

Many will believe Rovers still to be a bigger club than Posh, with a following and stadium to beat most in the two divisions immediately higher. On the basis of the first meeting between the clubs, the 1-1 draw, few would put Peterborough ahead of Rovers in the football pyramid as they currently are.

It would be interesting to see where both clubs sit in five years.
