Former Aston Villa and Walsall wingers join Tranmere

By

Tranmere have swooped to sign wingers Keiron Morris and Corey Blackett-Taylor on free transfers with both players signing two-year deals at Prenton Park.

Morris spent several months on loan at Prenton Park last season and was an important part of the team that won at Wembley in May to secure a return to League One. Having been released by Walsall in May following their relegation to the basement division, Morris has jumped at the opportunity to make his stay in Birkenhead a permanent one.

Joining him at Rovers ahead of the new season is highly-rated young winger Corey Blackett-Taylor. The strong and pacey winger has signed having left Aston Villa at the end-of-the-season and brings to an end Micky Mellon’s lengthy pursuit of the player.

The two players round off what has been a hectic day at Prenton Park following the signings of Sid Nelson and Calum Woods earlier in the day.

Tranmere are now up to five signings this summer and will return to training at Solar Campus tomorrow.
