Tranmere striker Andy Mangan has left the club to join fellow National League side AFC Fylde on a one-month loan deal.
The experienced forward has found his opportunities limited since returning to Prenton Park from Shrewsbury Town last season, and fell further down the pecking order in the summer following the arrivals of James Alabi and George Waring.
While those two strikers have also now gone out on loan, Mangan has still been unable to secure anything other than the odd brief substitute appearance for Micky Mellon’s team.
Following interest from Southport in the summer, Mangan has chosen to stay at Tranmere’s level by moving to Fylde, managed by former Rovers defender Dave Challinor.
The move is for just one month, however it would be no surprise if this became a longer-term arrangement.
Rokka and Gumbs back at Rovers
Meanwhile, following the disastrous FA Cup tie on Wednesday night, Rovers have cancelled a proposed loan move for Eliott Rokka to Warrington Town, and also recalled Evan Gumbs from a loan spell at the same club.
