With our non-league nightmare behind us, Tranmere first Football League game at Prenton Park today will coincide with the release of a brand new book looking at how promotion was achieved.
Back Where We Belong is a book written by local journalist Matt Jones who has supported Tranmere for many years and covered the club for various local media outlets for more than five years.
The book tells the story of the three years in the National League and how Rovers fought back to return to the Football League, through the highs and the lows.
It features some fascinating insights in to some of the crucial moments along the way, including interviews with the likes of Micky Mellon, Mark Palios, James Norwood and Gary Brabin. There is also some photography of some of the key moments along the way.
The book is available to buy from the Tranmere Rovers Trust marquee before the Cheltenham game today, or you can order online through Matt’s website here.
Priced at just £12, it’s some vital summer reading for Tranmere fans!
