Tranmere have confirmed that manager Micky Mellon has pledged his future to the club by signing a new contract until 2021.
Mellon took over at Prenton Park in October 2016 and instantly re-connected the fans with the team. On the pitch, things improved dramatically. Rovers narrowly missed out on the National League title and sadly lost to Forest Green at Wembley in the play-off final.
Not to be deterred, Rovers ralied under the popular Scotsman and in May 2018 a heroic performance at Wembley secured Tranmere’s EFL return.
A huge favourite at Prenton Park, Micky has now shown his commitment to the club once again.
More to follow.
