Young Tranmere Rovers goalkeeper Paddy Wharton has joined Evostik Northern Premier League side Stalybridge Celtic on a one-month loan deal.
The 18-year-old shot-stopper spent a month out on loan earlier in the season with Colwyn Bay, impressing enough to win their club’s Player of the Month award!
Wharton made his competitive Rovers debut earlier this month in the club’s Checkatrade Trophy tie away at Shrewsbury Town.
Stalybridge had a rather unusual way of announcing his signing on Twitter, with this video of the TV show Catchphrase accompanying the news!
