Tranmere have today parted company with manager Brian Little by mutual consent following a season of dull underachievement. Rumours had been rife that the former Hull and Aston Villa man would leave after Rovers secured their League One status last week.
Jason McAteer takes over as caretaker manager assisted by John McMahon.
