Former Tranmere striker Ryan Lowe has taken over as caretaker manager of League One strugglers Bury.
The Shakers look destined to return to League Two as they currently sit 10 points adrift at the bottom of the table. It’s the second time Lowe has taken over as caretaker this season having previously presided over a dismal run of form. However, following Chris Lucketti’s sacking yesterday, Lowe has been put in charge until the end of the season.
The Bury squad features two other ex-Tranmere players in goalkeeper Joe Murphy and former Rovers loanee Danny Mayor.
Bury’s local neighbours Rochdale and Oldham are also in the League One relegation scrap.
